“LANDSCAPE & SKIES IN WATERCOLOUR” with Frances Jordan
10.30am – 4pm
“Frances has been teaching since 2004. She teaches watercolours to small friendly groups of mixed ability where beginners are welcomed and encouraged.
The workshop will help to give you the techniques you need to become a confident artist in this medium.
Since Frances was a young girl she has had a passion for drawing and painting which continues today. She was fortunate to be taught by Albert Houghton F.R.S.A A.M.C, Fellow of the R.S.A. She first met him through buying one of his beautiful paintings. Her husband tracked him down, approached him and enquired if he could purchase some lessons for her as a birthday present.
He reluctantly agreed, adding that Frances could only have some lessons if he felt she was talented enough. If not, he wouldn’t be prepared to teach her as he was now retired. He gave her the four lessons that her husband had purchased and then some more. From this a firm friendship was established and she became his young protégé.
It is with this Knowledge that Frances has developed her own style, which she now enthusiastically passes onto her students.”
The workshop will take place at NNW Gallery in Chertsey. Please contact the gallery [email protected] to reserve your space as numbers will be limited. We look forward to seeing you….
£70 for the day to include stretched paper on board and tea & coffee.
Please bring lunch & a selection of watercolour paints & brushes with you to this workshop. Thank you.
