Stunning new arrivals from metal artist Paul Fearn

We are delighted to welcome Paul Fearn to No Naked Walls Galleries. Paul’s work is truly fascinating and unique. Paul is a four-time finalist in the prestigious international ‘David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year’ competition (2015/16/17/18) and is a contemporary wildlife artist with a difference. His canvases are sheets of metal which he carefully corrodes to produce figurative images of his subjects, and he describes some pieces, such as the three below, as more ‘textural’ than ‘abstract’. Paul is constantly pushing the boundaries of the control he can achieve over the patination process, using the raw materials to produce colour and texture befitting the creatures and environments he describes.

Paul lives and works in West Sussex where he can be close to the countryside and the wealth of British wildlife if offers. In addition he travels extensively across the globe to photograph wildlife both on land and under the water. He is an avid diver with hundreds of dives in most of the world’s oceans and seas.
